My Practice

I have a Master of Social Work and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies. I offer mindfulness-based, individualized outpatient counseling for a variety of mental health issues . I provide a compassionate ground for adults and couples to identify and utilize their strengths to work toward building a life that lights them up. 

My Treatment Focus

Using mindfulness-based interventions from DBT, ACT, and CBT, my focus is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.  My special interests are the intersections of religion and trauma, gender issues, and life transitions.

Many individuals experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after traumatic events. In therapy, you overcome these symptoms and work through the process of grief and healing.

Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both partners and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
